Saying Good-Bye to Friends

Well I have had to say good-bye to the first of a group of friend that I have met here in Minot.  The worst part of it was that she is the one that I liked the most!  It's never easy, is it? There is a few more and we all seem to be going different directions this summer.  My friend Penny just left for Italy.  In June Cindi and her family are moving to New Mexico and Chris and I move in July or Aug. Not sure when Tammy and her family will be going, but guessing it will be soon too.  It's funny all of the above named people became friends right after we moved here in.  I kept to myself for the first year.  I hate meeting new people and then I hate having to say good-bye to my friends.  Seems inevitable as a Military spouse and you'd think after almost 22 years of meeting people and moving that I would be used to it!

Looking forward to retirement...

Retirement is just around the corner.  He has dropped his papers and is now setting dates for terminal leave.  Must be in Germany around the 10th of May.  He had a job interview two days ago for Las Vegas and will have another on Monday for Ft Walton Beach, Fl.   Which one do we want?  FL pays better.  Las Vegas looks nicer.  LV seems to have better homes for the money.  Any place really is better than here.  We must have something BIG coming because they are actually plowing our street and trying to get the months of plowed snow off the yards and sidewalks.  They only do this when we have a big storm coming.  Today's temperature: -27*F.  Oh Happy Day!

Where does the time go?

Here I am......41 years old going to school again.  Each day flies by.  Where does the time go??  Seems like I get assignments and before I know it they're due.  Funny, the older I get the more important an education is to me.  Wonder where that attitude was when I was 21?  LOL
